To survive the pandemic, Vike's Corner Kitchen had to cut its hours considerably, to 11 a.m. to five p.m., Tuesday through Fri. Natasha Hoyer bet on Waverly in April of 2021, opening her hybrid women'south clothing shop and java shop Patina Joe.

"It was definitely the right movement," she said. "It'southward been really good for my business concern. The community'south been awesome and very supportive."

Pascoe said conversations are ongoing to lure business owners to Waverly, which has an like shooting fish in a barrel selling point: exponential population growth. But with that growth, it's also of import for the urban center to offer the restaurants and shops that citizens desire and need.
